Dr. Stogdale discussed the importance of food in allergic problems in dogs, especially in dogs with skin irritation (causing excessive scratching or licking) and recurrent ear infections. She spoke about the sensible changes to dogs' diets, and how to do a food trial. She discussed food types, brands and approaches including home made diets. Some supplements were suggested. Dr. Stogdale also talked about the importance of diagnosis and the various options available to controlling this common and irritating problem.
